We’ve been here at 11 Mile Stone Kapurthalal Road for quite a long time now. It’s a noisy place usually because of the hammers and the heat from the furnaces. People driving past probably see the smoke or hear the banging, but that’s just how a forging unit works. We have a small team here. Most of the guys have been with us for years and they know the steel better than anyone. It’s hard work, especially when the weather gets hot in the summer, but we just get on with it. The shop floor is always busy with different parts being shaped. Sometimes things get a bit messy, but that’s part of the process when you're dealing with raw metal and fire. We don't really do fancy office stuff here. Most of the time is spent out there checking the dies or making sure the pieces are coming out right. We’ve seen the road change over the years as more shops opened up nearby. It used to be quieter, but now there’s always trucks moving around. We just keep our heads down and handle the orders as they come in. If someone stops by, they’ll usually find us covered in a bit of soot or grease, but that’s fine. We like the work we do. It’s honest, it’s loud, and it keeps us busy from morning until the evening shift ends. Every day is pretty much the same routine of heating, striking, and cooling the metal down.
