Amarbir Singh Ahuja

I work here at Preet Hospital in Jalandhar. Most locals know this area because it’s right near Football Chowk. If you have been around Jalandhar City for any length of time, you know how busy that intersection gets with the traffic and the noise. Amarbir Singh Ahuja is the name on the door. We don't have a big fancy office with glass walls or anything like that. It is just a practical space where we do our daily tasks. The hospital itself has been part of this neighborhood for quite a while now. Some mornings, I get here before the sun is fully up just to get a head start on the paperwork. The street outside starts getting crowded around nine. You can hear the rickshaws and the bikes constantly honking. It is just part of life in this part of town. Our address is 144001, which is central. We have seen a lot of changes in the buildings around us over the years, but Preet Hospital stays pretty much the same. People come in and out all day. Sometimes it's just for a quick chat or to drop something off. We don't try to be something we aren't. We just show up, do the work that needs doing, and go home when the day is finished. It’s a straightforward way to run things. We like being near the chowk because it makes it easy for folks to find us without needing a map.
