About Abhaya Women Entrepreneur Association – Charity & Non Profit Organisations in Jalandhar
If you’re looking for us, we are at House No. 417/652 in the Model To Indora area. It’s a bit of a trek to get here depending on where you’re coming from, but it’s a solid, hard-working neighborhood. The Abhaya Women Entrepreneur Association operates right out of this house. We have a couple of rooms set up with tables and chairs. It’s usually pretty loud with people talking and sharing ideas. We don’t have a fancy board room, we just sit together and figure things out. There’s always someone coming in with a new question or something they need help with. The walls have some old photos and maybe a list of things to do pinned up on a board. We try to keep the place tidy, but when you have a lot of people working, it gets a bit messy by the end of the afternoon. We drink a lot of water and tea while we work. The front door is almost always open to let a breeze in. We don’t have any marketing experts or big budgets. We just have each other and this space. It’s a very direct way of doing things. Sometimes we have to move the furniture around to make room for a group meeting or a workshop. We don’t mind the extra effort. It’s just how we operate here in Indora. It’s a place where we get things done without making a big fuss about it. The work is steady and the days are long, but we like it.
