Sunder Glass Houses

Sunder Glass Houses is located in Mithapur on the Main Market Road. We are quite close to the Model Town area, which is always busy. Being on the main road means there is a lot of noise from the cars and rickshaws going past all day long. Inside the shop, it’s a bit different because we have to be careful with all the glass sheets. You will see stacks of glass leaning against the walls in different sizes. We spend a lot of time measuring and cutting pieces for people who have broken windows or need a new mirror. It’s a precise job, and we’ve all had our share of small cuts over the years. The floor is usually covered in tiny bits of glass, so we have to sweep a lot. People from Model Town often walk over to see what we have in stock. We don't have a fancy showroom; it’s more like a workshop where you can see us working. Sometimes the supply trucks arrive late because of the market traffic, and we have to unload everything by hand very slowly. It is a bit of a squeeze in the shop when a lot of customers come in at once. We just use old notebooks to keep track of the orders. It’s a simple business that’s been on this road for a good while. We just focus on getting the edges smooth and the sizes right for whoever walks in.
