Surya Hardware

Surya Hardware is located at 3, Jajpur Road, in the Khosalpur area. We are right there in Dhabalgiri, which is a place with a lot of movement. Hardware is a tough business because there are so many little parts to keep track of. Screws, bolts, tools, paint—you name it, we probably have it buried somewhere in a drawer. The shop isn't very large, so we have to use every inch of wall space to hang things up. It’s a bit of a maze inside. I spend half my day climbing ladders to reach stuff on the top shelves. We get all sorts of customers, from professional contractors to people who just need a single nail to hang a picture at home. We don't have a sales team. It’s just me and a couple of others who know where everything is. Sometimes the dust gets to you, and the smell of grease is always there, but that’s hardware for you. We’ve been on Jajpur Road for a long time now. The street has changed, but the needs of the people haven't really. They still want things that work and don't cost too much. We try to keep a good stock of the basics. We aren't doing anything revolutionary here. We just open up in the morning, sweep the front, and wait for the first customer. It’s a simple way to spend the day, and we’re happy to be part of the Khosalpur community.
