Mahek Spices

You can find Mahek Spices over at Plot No- 113/114 in Janakpur. We are situated right near the Jagatpur Industrial Area, so there are always big trucks rumbling past our gates. Our facility is basically a couple of large sheds where we handle all the spice processing. It’s a very functional space with high ceilings and concrete floors. We don't have any air conditioning, so it gets quite warm when the machines are running full tilt. We have a team of local workers who show up early to start the sorting process. It is a lot of physical work, lifting heavy bags and making sure the grinders are fed properly. We don't have a fancy website or a marketing department. We just focus on getting the spices ground up and into the right containers. The industrial area can be a bit gray and dusty, but inside our plots, it’s full of the bright colors of the spices. Sometimes the power flickers because of all the factories nearby, and we just take a break until it comes back on. It’s a straightforward business. We deal with the farmers, we do the processing, and we send the products out to the wholesalers. It’s noisy and messy work, but it is what we have been doing for years now in Janakpur.
