Ec Mum

Ec Mum is situated in Buhalo, Kendupatana, which is in the Cuttack district of Orissa. It’s a bit of a different world out here compared to the big cities. Things move a lot slower in Buhalo, and we kind of like that. Our office is a basic building that serves our needs without any extra frills. The area is quite green and it can be very peaceful, though it gets quite muddy when the monsoon rains hit Cuttack. We handle our business from here, mostly focusing on the local needs and the specific work we’ve been doing for years. We don't have a huge team, just a few dedicated people who live in the surrounding villages. Most of us walk or take a cycle to get to the office. It’s the kind of place where everyone knows everyone else’s business, so we have to keep things honest. We don’t have high-speed everything or the latest gadgets, but we have what we need to get the job done properly. Sometimes the power is a bit unreliable, but we just use that time to catch up on other things. It’s a very grounded way to work. We aren't trying to be the biggest company in Orissa; we’re just happy to be working in our own community and providing what we can. It’s a quiet life in Kendupatana, and our little office is just one small part of it.
