Gdcl

Our setup is a bit different because we are located right inside the Visa Steel Plant in Kalinganagar. It is an industrial part of Jajpur in Orissa, so there is always a lot of dust and the sound of heavy machinery in the background. Ajay Upadhyay is the one managing things here at Gdcl. We are not sitting in a polished office building in a city center. Instead, we are on-site, making sure the work gets done where it actually happens. Our daily routine involves a lot of walking around the plant and checking on different projects. We have a small cabin where we keep our logs and records, but we spend most of our time out in the field. It is hot, noisy, and physical work, which suits us just fine. We do not have a marketing team or anyone to write fancy brochures for us. We just focus on the technical tasks and making sure we meet the requirements of the plant. It is a very practical environment where you have to be ready for anything. Sometimes things break or plans change, and we just have to figure it out on the spot. We eat our meals quickly and get back to the job because there is always something that needs attention. It is a tough way to work, but it is very rewarding.
