Yashlaxmi Seeds (Opc) Private Limited is located in Jajpur, Orissa. Specifically, we are at Gokhana, near the Baidyarajpur post office. Our place is on Plot No. 4052, Mouza-Abdalpur, under Khata No. 446. It’s a bit of a mouthful for an address, but it’s where we are. We deal with seeds, mainly. It’s a small operation, just one person really since it's an OPC. I spend most of my time checking the seed quality and making sure everything is labeled right. The building here in Gokhana is pretty simple. It isn't a big industrial site. It’s more of a local warehouse and office combined. Being in Jajpur means I’m right in the middle of a lot of farming activity. I don't use a lot of fancy equipment, just the basics that get the job done. Sometimes the weather makes things difficult, but that's life in Orissa. I don't have a big team to help out, so I do most things myself, from taking orders to shipping them out. It’s a quiet life, mostly. I don’t go for any of those big marketing slogans. I just sell seeds to people who need them. Most of my day is spent at the Abdalpur plot, making sure the inventory is correct. It’s practical work and it keeps me busy. I try to be honest about what I have and what I can do. That’s about it.
