Our setup is over in Jajpur at the Dhabalgiri F.C. Plant. Tarini Prasad Mohanty is the one who handles the planning for this part of the Orissa Mining Corporation. If you know Jajpur, you know it gets incredibly hot during the summer months, and that doesn't make the work any easier. We spend a lot of time looking at schedules and trying to figure out the best way to move things through the plant. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s necessary for the whole operation to stay on track. The office isn't anything special to look at, just a place to get the planning done and keep the records straight. We’ve been here at this location for a bit now, and the routine is pretty well set. Most of the guys live nearby or commute from the surrounding areas. It’s a busy spot with trucks coming and going, and there is always some noise from the plant machinery in the background. We don't really bother with big speeches or anything like that. We just come in, see what Tarini has on the schedule, and try to make sure everything goes as smooth as it can. It’s just how we do things in this part of Orissa. There is always a lot to manage when you are dealing with minerals and planning out the logistics for a place this size.
