Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd. ,Duburi, Jajpur

We are located at Neelachal Ispat Nigam Ltd. in the Duburi area of Jajpur, Orissa. Our specific spot is C-201 in the Ninl Township. This is basically where many of us live and work at the same time. The township is a dedicated space for the employees of the steel plant, so it has a very specific feel to it. You have the industrial plant on one side and the residential blocks on the other. It’s a place where you know your neighbors because you probably saw them at the plant earlier in the day. Life here in Jajpur is tied very closely to the cycles of the steel industry. When the plant is busy, the whole township feels it. The office is really just a part of that community. We deal with the administrative side of things, making sure the people living in the township have what they need and that the operations are supported. It’s not a glamorous job, but it is necessary for keeping a large place like this functioning. The roads are mostly used by company vehicles and the people who live here. We don't really have visitors from the outside very often, unless they have business with the plant. It’s a simple, hardworking life in a part of Orissa that is known for its mineral wealth and heavy industry.
