You can find us right behind the Durga Mandir on Jajpur Road in Orissa. Being near the temple means there is always something going on nearby, especially during festivals when the whole area gets crowded and loud. Our office is a simple building in the Kanheipur area. It’s a dusty part of the world, especially with all the trucks moving through Jajpur, so we are constantly cleaning the desks. At Jindal Stainless Limited, we use this space to keep things moving for the local operations. It’s a functional place, not a showroom. We have some plastic chairs for visitors and a heavy wooden desk where most of the planning happens. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we are too busy to worry about that right now. In the summer, the heat is really something else, so we stay close to the coolers. We know the people around here, and most of them know us by now. It’s a practical location for being close to the industrial activity of the region. We don't have fancy coffee machines; we just drink water from the clay pot in the corner to stay cool. Every morning starts with opening the shutters and checking what needs to be shipped out. It is honest work, and this little spot behind the mandir is where it all gets done every single day. We just focus on the metal and the paperwork without making a big fuss about anything else.
