You can find us in Pobal, which is also known as Aruha, out in the Jajpur district of Orissa. Satyananda Jena is the person who keeps things running here at our small office. We are situated via Haridashpur, near Chandikhole, which is a fairly busy junction point. The office itself is just a simple building where we store our tools and keep our project binders. It gets quite humid here, and the monsoon season always makes the construction work a bit of a gamble. Our desks are usually covered in a bit of red dust from the local soil. We don’t really bother with fancy signs or anything. People around here know we are the construction lot. Most of our time is spent out on the road or at the work sites, but we come back here in the evenings to write up the progress reports. The pin code is 755024. We just talk about how much gravel we need or when the next truck is supposed to arrive. It is a plain, simple way of working. We just want to get the job finished and move on to the next one without making a big deal about it or acting like we are something special.
