Bhagidari Eco Innovations Private Limited

Our office is over in Kandia, a small village near Singhpur in Jajpur. It’s not the easiest place to find if you aren't from around here. Bhagidari Eco Innovations started because a few of us wanted to find better ways to do things on the farm without hurting the environment. We live and work right here in the village. The roads can be a bit rough during the monsoon, so things slow down then. We aren't experts with degrees or anything, just people who have spent our whole lives in the dirt. We call it innovations because we try out new ideas with natural fertilizers and old seeds. Some of them work and some are a total waste of time, but that’s how you learn. Everyone in the village knows where we are. We don’t have a fancy website or a marketing team. We just talk to the other farmers at the tea stall and show them what we are doing. The air in Jajpur is good, and we want to keep it that way. We spend our mornings checking the patches and our afternoons fixing equipment. It’s a simple life. We don't have a lot of money for big machines, so we do most things by hand. It’s tiring but it gives you a sense of pride at the end of the day. We are just a local group trying to do right by the land in Kandia.
