Shivam Medicose

You can find us right near the Jaisalmer Collectorate. That’s where Shivam Medicose is situated. Being so close to the government offices means there’s always people walking by. It’s a busy spot, especially during the middle of the week when everyone is trying to get their paperwork done at the collectorate. We mostly handle retail and local supply needs. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into the space we have. There’s a certain rhythm to life in Jaisalmer, especially with the heat in the summer. We keep the fans going and try to stay cool while we organize the shelves. Sometimes tourists get lost and ask us for directions to the fort, and we help them out. It's just part of being in this neighborhood. We’ve been here for a good while, so most of the regulars know us by name. We don't really do much advertising; word of mouth works well enough around here. People stop by for their daily needs, or maybe just to chat for a minute if it's not too crowded. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but the current color reminds us of how long we've been serving the community. It’s a straightforward business. We show up, open the shutters, and see who the day brings in. It is what it is, just a local shop in a busy area.
