Satyam Tours

If you walk around Gandhi Chowk in Jaisalmer, you’ll likely pass by Satyam Tours. We are right in the middle of everything in the 345001 area. It’s a loud place with all the horns and people shouting, but we like the energy. I started this because I didn't want to move to a big city like Delhi. Here, I can see the fort and talk to my neighbors every day. Satyam Tours is just a small operation. We have a couple of chairs for visitors and a fan that squeaks a bit when it's on high. We don't pretend to be something we aren't. We just know the local roads and the best times to avoid the crowds. Jaisalmer has a way of slowing you down. Even when Gandhi Chowk is packed with people, we take our time. We don't use those scripts that big companies use for their customers. We just talk like regular people. If someone asks for a tour, we see what we can do to help them out. My uncle used to do this before me, so it’s a bit of a family thing in our house. We don’t have a fancy logo or a big marketing budget. We just have our name on the sign outside. Most of our days are spent drinking tea and waiting for the next person to walk in. It’s a good life here in 345001.
