Prachi Clinic

It's hard to describe the place without giving a long list of landmarks, but most people around here just know where Prachi Clinic is. It's a small building, nothing fancy, with a door that sticks a bit when it's raining. Inside, the walls are a simple off-white, and there are a few posters about health hanging up, mostly to cover the marks on the paint. I spend my days sitting behind the main counter, which is just a sturdy piece of wood we've had for years. There’s a stack of folders on my left and a telephone that rings more often than I’d like. We don’t have a big staff, just a few of us who know how everything works. It’s the kind of place where we know your name before you even hand over your ID. The waiting area has some old magazines that nobody really reads, and the floor is a bit uneven in the hallway. It’s not the kind of clinic you see in the movies with the bright lights and the glass walls. It’s a real place for real people who have things like a cough or a sore back. We keep it simple and try to help everyone who walks through that door. Sometimes it’s quiet, and I can hear the birds outside, but usually, there’s a steady hum of voices. It’s just our little corner of the world, and we've been doing this for a long time now.
