Majisa Kirana Store

Majisa Kirana Store is right in the middle of Village Chhayan, which is part of the Pokaran taluka in the Jaisalmer district. You can find us at the At Post Chhayan area, and we are situated quite close to the State Bank of India. Having the bank nearby is helpful because people often stop by our store after they finish their business there. Jaisalmer can get very hot, especially in the summer, so the store feels like a bit of a refuge from the sun. Inside Majisa Kirana Store, we have bags of grains, pulses, and all the usual groceries piled up on the counters and shelves. The space is a bit tight because we try to keep a lot of stock on hand for the villagers. We don't have any fancy air conditioning, just a couple of ceiling fans that hum all day long. The floor is often a bit sandy because of the desert wind, but we do our best to keep the place tidy. When the sun starts to set over Pokaran, the village gets a bit cooler and more people come out to buy their supplies for dinner.
