Heritage Inn

We are out on Sam Road, near Post Box 43. It’s a bit of a distance from the main city, so it’s mostly just us and the desert. The building is made of the local yellow stone which helps with the heat. We have quite a bit of space around the property. Keeping the sand out is probably our biggest job. No matter how much we sweep, the wind always brings more in. It’s a simple life out here. We have a dining hall where we serve local food. The guys who work here are mostly from the nearby villages. We don’t have high-speed internet or anything fancy like that. People usually come here to see the dunes or just to experience the desert quiet. We have some plants in the courtyard, but it’s hard to keep them green with the water being what it is. We have rooms that are basic but have what you need for the night. It gets very quiet at night, which is nice. We don't have a big corporate office or anything. It’s just us running the place day to day. We fix things as they break and try to keep the guests comfortable. It’s an honest, plain place to stay. You can see the stars really well from the roof. We don't offer much else besides a bed and a quiet spot to rest.
