Haritage Travels

So, Haritage Travels is tucked away on Chainpura Street. If you know Gandhi Chowk, you know how busy it gets around there. We are right in that 345001 zip code part of Jaisalmer. I’ve lived here my whole life. The street gets narrow and noisy sometimes with the motorbikes and the cows walking past our door. We just sit in the office and talk to whoever comes by. It’s not a big corporate setup. We have a few desks and some maps on the wall that are a bit old and dusty now. Gandhi Chowk is like the heart of the city, so there is always something happening outside. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the afternoon, so we just sit outside on the steps and chat with neighbors. We call it Haritage Travels, even if the spelling is a bit different than what you see in school books. It’s just how we named it. We handle a lot of different things, mostly just helping people get from one place to another. My brother works with me. We don’t have a website that looks like those big international travel sites. We prefer talking to people face to face. If the chai is ready, we usually offer a cup to anyone who stops in. That’s just how it is here in Chainpura Street. Jaisalmer is home, and this little office is where we spend most of our daylight hours.
