Everyone calls me Chintu, so that’s why I named it Chintu Tours And Travel. We are based right here in Jaisalmer, 345001. I don't have a big office building or a fleet of fifty buses. It’s just me and a few guys I trust from the neighborhood. We grew up playing in these streets together. Jaisalmer isn't just a place on a map for us, it’s where our families have lived for generations. We started doing tours because we noticed people wanted to see the real desert, not just the stuff in magazines. We don't use those promotional phrases you see everywhere. We just tell you what the price is and where we can go. Some days are slow, especially when the heat is too much for anyone to move around. We sit in the shade and wait for the sun to drop. Other times, it’s a bit of a scramble to get everything ready. We don't have a corporate strategy or a big board of directors. We just try to be helpful and honest. The address is simple because everyone knows where to find things in Jaisalmer anyway. I handle most of the calls myself on my old mobile. If I’m out driving, my brother picks up the phone.
