We are located in Gangan Para, right in the heart of Jaisalmer. If you know the area, you know it’s got a lot of history and character. Our office is just a simple place in a neighborhood that’s seen a lot of years go by. We aren't some big city organization with millions of dollars in the bank. We’re just a group of people in Jaisalmer who want to see things move in a better direction for the community. The streets around Gangan Para are narrow and can get quite busy during the day with all sorts of traffic. We’ve got a small space where we gather to talk about local issues and how to fix them. It’s not always easy, and sometimes we argue about the best way to do things. But that’s just how it goes when you actually care about your town. We don’t have a lot of technology, just a couple of old computers and a lot of notebooks filled with ideas. The walls are a bit thin, so we can hear the neighbors and the street noise, but it keeps us connected to the life around us. We don’t put on airs or pretend to be something we aren't. We just want to work on reforms that make sense for people living right here. Jaisalmer is a unique place, and our foundation reflects that style. We take things one day at a time and try to stay honest about what we can achieve. It's a slow process but we're here for it.
