You’ll find Zishan Manufacturers at KGB Ka Rasta, tucked away in the Johri Bazar area. If you’ve ever been to Johri Bazar, you know it’s always packed with people and rickshaws. Our workspace is small but we make it work for everything we need to do. We are mostly focused on manufacturing, so there is always the sound of tools and clicking going on. It’s a tight space with several of us working side-by-side. We’ve been at this location for a while now, and we’ve seen shops come and go. The air in the lane can be a bit stuffy, but it’s the heart of the trade here. We don’t have a fancy display window. Most of our work is done for people who already know where we are. My brother and I handle most of the orders that come in. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing on small tasks, which can get tiring on the eyes after a few hours. We take breaks when the street food smells too good to ignore. It’s a humble setup, really. We just want to do our jobs and go home at the end of the day. There’s a lot of competition around, but we just stick to what we know. It’s a busy, messy, and loud way to make a living, but it’s ours. It’s not for everyone, but we’ve been here so long that the chaos feels normal now.
