Yash Chemical & Mineral Industries

Our office is up on the 4th floor of Unnati Tower, right in the middle of Vidhyadhar Nagar. We’re at number 432. Being on the Central Spine means we see everything that happens in this part of the city. Yash Chemical & Mineral Industries has been based here for a good while. It’s mostly just desks, phones, and a lot of technical charts on the walls. We don't actually keep the minerals here in the office, obviously. This is where the planning happens. We spend our time talking to suppliers and figuring out the logistics for the next shipment. It’s a lot of long phone calls and even longer emails. The view from the window is okay, though the noise from the traffic below never really stops. We’ve got a small pantry where we make coffee, which is basically what keeps us going. We aren't fancy people. Most of us wear regular clothes and just focus on the numbers and the chemical specs. Sometimes the elevator in the tower is slow, so we end up waiting in the lobby chatting with the other tenants. It’s a professional environment but we keep it pretty relaxed among ourselves. We don't have a big mission statement or anything. We just buy and sell chemicals and minerals and try to make sure everyone gets what they ordered on time. That’s our day, every day.
