Teaching people to drive in Jaipur is a full-time job. We are right across from the Jyoti Nagar police station, in Om Shiv Tower. It’s a good spot because everyone knows where the station is. Lal Kothi stays busy with traffic, which is actually good for learners because they get used to it right away. We use the small cars mostly. I’ve seen a lot of nervous students sit in the driver's seat for the first time. They grip the wheel too tight and sweat a bit. My job is to just sit there and keep them calm. It takes patience. Not everyone gets the clutch right on day one. We do the paperwork and the practical stuff. The office isn't very large, just enough for a desk and some chairs where people wait for their turn. Jaipur roads can be a bit of a mess, so we teach how to handle the cows and the rickshaws too. It’s not just about steering. It’s about not panicking. We’ve been at this address for quite some time. If you see the tower, you’ve found us. Just look for the signs. E700 is the room number. We try to keep the cars clean, but with the dust in Rajasthan, it’s a constant battle. We just want people to feel okay when they go for their test. It’s a simple business. We take the students out one by one and go through the basics until they feel ready.
