About Wadhawan Jewellers – Building & Construction Material in Jaipur
If you head down Amer Road toward Govind Nager West, you’ll find us at number 143. We’ve been here for a long time, watching the tourists go by on their way to the fort. Being a jeweller on Amer Road means you meet all sorts of people. Some are looking for something small, like a simple ring, while others are planning for a wedding and want to see the heavier sets. We keep our displays tidy, but there’s always work going on behind the counter. Weighing gold and checking stones takes a lot of focus. It's a family-run kind of thing, so there’s always a bit of talk about who’s doing what in the back. We don't have those big glass buildings like the shops in the city center. Our shop is more traditional. We like to sit down with people, offer them some water or tea, and show them the pieces one by one. It takes time to pick the right thing, and we don't like to rush anyone. Sometimes the light in the shop isn't perfect, so we take the pieces near the door to show the real shine under the sun. The evening is our busiest time when the locals finish their work and come by to pick up their repairs or look at something new. We’ve known some of these families for generations. It’s more about the relationship than just a sale for us, keeping the trust alive.
