Visa Steel is situated within the Jaipur G P O Industrial Area. Being in an industrial zone means we are surrounded by other workshops and factories, so there's always a hum of activity in the air. It’s not a pretty place, but it’s where the real work gets done. The roads are built for big trucks, not small cars, so you have to be careful driving around here, especially with the potholes. Our building is a standard industrial structure. It’s big, open, and gets pretty hot under the Rajasthan sun. We have some cooling fans, but they can only do so much in the middle of May. We spend our days tracking materials and making sure the operations are running as they should. It’s a lot of physical checking and re-checking. We aren't big on formalities here. Most of us have been working in this sector for years and we prefer plain talk over anything complicated. If something breaks, we fix it. If a delivery is late, we find out why. It’s a simple way of doing things, but it works for us. The tea stall down the road is where most of our staff congregates during the breaks. It’s a chance to step away from the noise and heat for a few minutes. We don't have a fancy story to tell or some glossy brochure, just that we are here in Jaipur, doing our jobs every single day of the week.
