You can find Veer Vijay Art Printers right in the heart of Indira Bazar at Dodnnahalli 236. If you've ever walked through Indira Bazar, you know how crowded and lively it is. Our shop is number 236, and it’s usually filled with the smell of ink and the constant sound of the machines running. It’s a small space, so we have to be careful where we stack the paper. Sometimes it feels like the stacks might reach the ceiling if we don't watch out. We’ve been printing things here for a long time. My father started this, and I’ve been around the shop since I was a kid. We don't have a website or anything like that. Most people just walk in off the street or call us on the old landline. We have some old machines that we keep running with a bit of oil and a lot of patience. They make a specific rhythm when they’re working right. Indira Bazar is a loud place, but once you’re inside the shop, you get used to the noise. We don't have a fancy showroom. There are just samples of our work pinned to the walls. We usually end up fixing the machines ourselves when something breaks down because we know them so well. It’s a busy life, especially during the wedding season when everyone needs cards printed at the last minute. We just keep our heads down and keep the presses moving as best as we can.
