Vatika Jewellers

Vatika Jewellers is located at S 2-3 Nursery Circle, right across from Tagore Public School. It’s a nice spot because we get to see the kids heading to school in the morning and leaving in the afternoon. The shop isn't one of those massive, glitzy jewelry stores you see in the malls. It’s a local place where we know a lot of the families who live nearby. We spend our time sitting behind the counter, waiting for people to come in for a repair or to look at a small gift. The lighting inside is a bit bright to show off the items, but the back room where we do the work is much more cluttered. There are tiny tools and magnifying glasses everywhere. Some days are very slow, and we just sit and talk about the news or watch the traffic at the circle. Other days, three families come in at once and the place feels tiny. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything like that. People mostly know us because they’ve lived in the neighborhood for years and trust us with their things. Sometimes we have to explain that a repair will take longer than expected because we’re waiting on a part, and most people are understanding about it. It’s a small, family-style business, and we’re just happy to be part of the community here near the school and the nursery circle.
