Our center is right in the middle of the Jayanti Market area on Gopinath Marg, at number 6. It’s a very busy spot with people moving around all day. You can hear the market calls and the scooters honking right through the windows. The office itself is packed with books and research papers about old building techniques. We have a few old wooden tables where we lay out the charts. It’s not a very big space, so we have to stay organized. Most of the furniture is stuff we’ve had for twenty years. There’s a lot of dust because of all the paper, but we try to keep it clean. People walk in from the market all the time with questions. We spend a lot of time explaining how the energy flows in a building without making it sound too mysterious. It’s mostly just common sense and physics if you think about it. We drink a lot of water because talking all day makes you thirsty. The lightbulbs are a bit dim, which makes it feel cozy in the evenings. We don't have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door. It’s the kind of place where you can sit down and have a real conversation. We don't rush anyone. Sometimes a consultation takes an hour, sometimes it takes all afternoon. We just stay until the work is done and the market starts to quiet down.
