We’ve been operating out of Adarsh Nagar, at number 201, for several years now. It’s a bit of a quiet street, which suits us just fine. Most of what we do involves a lot of phone calls and checking manifests. We deal with stuff coming in and going out, mostly small goods that people need for their shops. The office is a bit cluttered with boxes and samples of things we’ve traded over the months. I usually get in early to check the emails from different time zones. It’s a lot of staring at screens and making sure the numbers match up. Sometimes a shipment gets delayed at the port, and those are the days when the coffee pot never gets a rest. We aren't a massive firm with a lobby and a receptionist. It’s just a couple of us handling the paperwork and making sure the logistics don't fall apart. We know the local delivery drivers pretty well by now. They know exactly where to pull up so they don't block the neighbor’s driveway. It’s a small-scale operation, but it keeps us on our toes. We don't have any big slogans or anything. We just try to get things from point A to point B without too many headaches along the way. If the lights are on, someone is probably in there wrestling with a spreadsheet. That’s our day, every day of the week.
