Usha International Gems

We are over at 6, Manwaji Ka Bagh on M.D. Road. It’s a busy spot and finding a place to park can be a real headache sometimes. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it has been our base for quite some time now. Inside, things are mostly organized, though there’s usually a stack of papers or a few boxes sitting where they shouldn't be. We spend a lot of our time sitting at the back desks dealing with the daily tasks that come with being in the gems trade. The light coming through the windows in the morning is probably the best part of the office. It hits the floor just right before the dust kicks up from the street outside. People walk past the entrance all day long, mostly locals heading to other shops or people looking for specific addresses along M.D. Road. We keep a fan running pretty much constantly because the air gets still inside. There’s a small tea stall nearby where we get our morning fix, and that usually keeps us going until lunch. It’s a quiet enough place if you ignore the traffic noise from the main road. We don't have a big reception area or anything like that. If you walk in, you’re basically standing right where we work. It’s just how we’ve always had it set up here at Usha International Gems. We like the familiarity of the neighborhood and knowing the people who work in the next building over.
