Umed Stone Exports

Our place is at E-623 in Vaishali Nagar. It’s a bit different because it’s more of an office-style setup in a neighborhood rather than a big industrial lot. We handle stone exports from here. Most of the time, we are on the phone or working on the computer to coordinate where the stone is going. We do have some samples around the office so people can see the different types of marble and granite we deal with. It’s a small operation, just a few of us making sure the logistics side of things doesn't fall apart. Vaishali Nagar is a nice area to work in, it's a bit quieter than the center of town. Sometimes the internet goes down and we just have to wait, which can be frustrating when you're trying to track a shipment. We've been doing this for several years now, so we have a good relationship with the quarries and the shipping companies. It’s a lot of detail work, making sure the measurements are right and the paperwork is in order for the customs people. We don't have a big marketing budget or anything like that. We just rely on the fact that we've been around for a while. It’s an honest way to make a living and we like the people we get to talk to. We just take things one day at a time and try to keep the customers happy.
