You can find Tulip Herbals over at Watika Khandelwal Ayurved Bhawan. It’s a place that feels a bit older and more established than the new buildings popping up everywhere. There is a certain smell here, mostly of dried plants and different powders, that you get used to pretty quickly. We aren’t a huge team, just a few of us making sure everything is in its place. The shelves are usually full of jars and packets. We don’t spend much on decorations because we’re more focused on what’s actually on the shelves. Sometimes we have people coming in with lots of questions, and we just try to help them find what they are looking for without making it a big deal. The floor is made of old stone and it stays relatively cool even when it's hot outside. We have a small desk near the front where we keep the ledger and the phone. It’s a quiet kind of work most days. We get the shipments in, check the quality, and put them away. Watika is a bit of a distance for some, but for the people who live around here, we’re just a part of the neighborhood. We don’t use any fancy computers for everything; a lot is still written down by hand because it feels more reliable that way. It’s a simple setup and it works for us. We just keep doing what we’ve been doing every day.
