We have been operating out of this small spot in Phulta for quite some time now. It’s a bit out of the way, near Berhampur in Orissa, but we make it work. Jalendra Pradhan stays on top of the paperwork here at the office we share with Dandapani Pradhan. It’s not a fancy setup, just a desk, some chairs, and a lot of logbooks for the trucks. Most days are spent on the phone talking to drivers or trying to figure out why a delivery is stuck somewhere down the road. People around here know where to find us if they need something moved across the state. The weather gets really hot in the summer, which makes the work slower, but the trucks keep rolling. We don't have a big corporate team, just a few of us making sure things get from one point to another without too much trouble. Sometimes the rain makes the roads messy, and that delays things, but that is just part of living in this part of Orissa. We try to keep things simple and honest. If a truck is going to be late, we tell you. There is no point in making up stories. We handle a lot of different goods, mostly whatever needs to go between the small towns and the bigger cities. It is a quiet life in Phulta, but the transport business stays busy, and we are right here in the middle of it all.
