We've been over here at No. 95 Shiva Colony for a while now. It's right near Natraj Nagar if you're looking for it. Most days it’s just us working with the machines and making sure the fabric looks right before it goes out. The shop isn't fancy or anything. There’s usually a bit of dust on the floor from the threads, but that’s just how it goes when you’re working with textiles all day. We start early in the morning. Sometimes the neighbors from Natraj Nagar stop by just to say hello or ask about what we’re making this week. It gets loud in here when all the looms are running at once. You can hear the clicking from down the street. We try to keep things organized, but when a big order comes in, rolls of cloth end up stacked everywhere. It’s a busy place. We just focus on getting the work done and making sure everything is handled properly. It's a small team here. Most of us have been doing this for years, so we know the routine by heart now. We don't spend much time on the computer or anything like that. Most of the day is spent on the floor, checking the looms and packing up the finished goods. It's plain work, but it keeps us going and we've got a good rhythm established at this spot in the colony.
