The Print Palace

The Print Palace is tucked away at U-39 on Bhardwaj Marg. We are right off Calgary Road in Malviya Nagar, which is a pretty handy spot to be in. The name sounds a bit grander than we actually are, but it’s stuck now. It is really just a functional workshop where we spend our hours. The machines take up most of the room, and there’s always a hum in the background that you eventually stop noticing. We spend a lot of time looking at margins and paper weights. Malviya Nagar is always moving, and we are just one part of that. We get a mix of people coming in, from folks who live just down the street to people passing through Calgary Road. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. Loading paper, checking toner, and making sure nothing gets jammed up. We don’t have a fancy front desk or anything. You just walk in and we're usually right there at the machines. Some days are quieter than others, but there’s usually something that needs doing. We’ve learned to deal with the quirks of the older machines we have. It is just a place where things get printed and people go about their business. Malviya Nagar has a lot of shops, but we've been here at U-39 for long enough that we feel like furniture. The floors are a bit scuffed from moving heavy boxes around, but that just shows we've been working hard. We mostly just keep our heads down.
