The Erudite Architects

If you look behind the Sadu Basvani School in Jaipur, you will find us at 137, Lane No. 3 in Adarsh Nagar. This is where The Erudite Architects is based. The neighborhood is fairly quiet compared to the main roads, which helps when we need to focus on our drawings. Our office is basically a collection of drafting tables, some screens, and plenty of rolls of paper lying around. It usually smells like ink and fresh coffee in the mornings. We have been in this particular spot in Adarsh Nagar for a while because it feels like a real community. We see the school kids and the neighbors going about their business every day. Our space is not meant to impress anyone with fancy rugs or modern lighting; it is just a working studio where things get built on paper first. We spend hours looking at plans and double-checking measurements. Sometimes we have to move things around to make room for a new project that needs a lot of space. It is a lived-in office, maybe a little dusty in the corners where we keep the old models from years ago. We like it this way because it feels real and comfortable. We are just a team of people who enjoy the process of figuring out how buildings should go together. We work regular hours, deal with the heat, and try to make sure everything we design makes sense.
