Tab India Granites is up on the fifth floor of Apex Mall. We are in suite 502. Tonk Road is a main artery in Jaipur, so there is always a lot of movement around here. Being in a mall is convenient because there's usually parking, even if it gets full on weekends. We work with granite and stone, which is a big business in this part of the country. Our office has several slabs on display so people can see the colors and the grains. They are heavy, so we don't move them around much once they are set up. It’s a bit of a contrast being in a modern mall building while dealing with something as old as stone. We spend our days coordinating between the quarries and the buyers. It’s a lot of logistics and checking quality. Sometimes the lighting in the office makes the granite look different than it does in the sun, so we tell people to take small pieces outside to the balcony. We aren't a high-pressure sales place. We just sit, have some water, and talk about what kind of stone fits the project. The office is usually a bit dusty from the stone samples, but that’s just how it is. It’s a steady business and we enjoy meeting the different people who walk through the door. We just try to keep things moving along smoothly every day.
