Swastik Castings Pvt. Ltd. is located over at B-229 on Road No. 9 in the V K I Area. It’s one of those parts of town where there’s always smoke or the sound of metal clanging. We’ve been set up here for a good bit of time. The work we do involves a lot of heat and heavy lifting. It isn't easy work, but someone has to do it. The guys on the shop floor know their way around the molds and the metal. We don’t spend much time in the office because the real stuff happens in the back. Our address is easy to find if you know Road 9. It can get pretty hot in the summer, making the work even tougher, but we keep the fans going and just push through. We don’t have a fancy lobby or anything like that. It’s just a practical workspace for casting metal. Sometimes things break down and we have to fix them on the fly. That’s just life in an industrial area like VKI. We don’t make a big fuss about what we do. We just take the orders as they come and try to stay on schedule. Most of our neighbors are doing similar things, so it feels like a community of workers. We’re usually here from early morning until the sun goes down. It's a living. We have seen many businesses come and go, but we just stay here and keep our heads down. It's tough, honest work that keeps us all busy.
