We are located on the third floor at Junction Barah, right in the heart of Johari Bazar. If you know Gangor Rasta, you know how crowded it gets around here. It is the old part of the city, so the stairs are a bit steep and the hallways are narrow. We have been in this spot for a long time. It is a traditional setup. We do not have big neon signs or anything like that. People find us because their fathers or grandfathers did business with us. We handle a lot of different things, mostly related to the trade that goes on in this busy market. There is always the sound of motorcycles and people shouting down in the street. Up here on the third floor, it is a bit quieter but still busy. We sit on floor cushions most of the day, going through account books and talking to visitors. It is not about being fancy; it is about the relationships we have built over the years. We drink a lot of tea and talk about the market prices. Sometimes the electricity cuts out and we just open the windows and keep going. We know every corner of Johari Bazar. This is not just a job for us; it is where we have spent most of our lives. We keep the books the old way mostly because it is what we know and it has worked for generations.
