We are tucked away behind the P&T Colony in Mithanpura. If you know Muzaffarpur, you know this area is always busy. Our office is in Ranjan Nivas. It’s a solid building, nothing too flashy, but it works for what we do at Sunway Construction. We spend a lot of time on the phone or out at different sites across Bihar. The roads here can be a bit of a mess, especially when it rains, so getting around takes longer than you’d think. We have a few desks and a lot of maps pinned to the walls. It’s a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in at the same time. We usually have tea brought in from the stall down the road. That’s our ritual. We don’t have fancy slogans or big posters. We just have the work that needs doing. Sometimes a client drops by without calling, and we just pull up a spare chair for them. It’s a very informal way of doing things, but it’s worked for us so far. We know the local suppliers and the guys who move the materials. It’s about being part of the community here in Mithanpura. The sun gets really bright in the afternoons, hitting the front of the building. We just close the blinds and keep at it until the day is done. Most people just walk in if they need us.
