Sunil Enterprises & General Store

Located at Chaura Rasta Film Colony 7, Sunil Enterprises & General Store is basically what it sounds like. We have a bit of everything on the shelves. In the morning, we usually start by dusting off the counters and checking what we ran out of the day before. It’s a narrow street so we see the same people walking to work or school every single day. We sell everyday stuff that people need for their houses. It’s not a supermarket where you wander around with a trolley; it’s more about asking for what you want and us finding it in the back or on a high shelf. Sometimes the stock doesn't arrive on time and we have to explain that to the regulars. The shop is filled with the smell of different things, like soap and spices mixed together. We don't have a big team, just a few of us making sure things are in order. The floor is a bit worn down from people coming in and out all these years. We try to keep the books straight and the inventory moving. It’s a lot of lifting heavy crates and opening plastic packaging. We don't use any fancy computers for everything, just some old-fashioned ways of keeping track. It’s a steady kind of life here in the middle of the city. We just stay open until the sun goes down and then do it all again.
