Jaipur Chudi Emporium

If you are looking for us, we are at Shop No. 600 on Munsi Ramdas Ji Ka Rasta, near Subhash Chowk. It is a busy little street in Jaipur. Our shop is mostly filled with bangles of all kinds. We have been here for many years, and the walls are covered in boxes from the floor to the ceiling. Every morning we come in and start the day by cleaning the glass cases. There is a lot of dust that comes in from the street, so it is a never-ending job. People come to us when they need bangles for a wedding or just for something colorful to wear. It’s a very traditional kind of place. We don't have any big signs or fancy lights. Most people know us just by the location near the chowk. The street is narrow, and sometimes it gets blocked by cows or scooters, but that is just part of being in this area. We enjoy talking to the customers and hearing about the events they are planning. It’s a lot of standing around all day, which can be tiring, but we are used to it by now. We don't do any online selling, we just like people coming into the shop and seeing the colors for themselves. It’s a simple business. We have seen many families come in over the years, and now we see their children coming in too. It is nice to be part of the community.
