Store Officer

I hold the position of store officer here in Darbhanga. My workspace is located C/O Late Lala Ragendra Prasad and we are quite close to the H.P.O in Laheriasarai. If anyone needs to get a hold of me they usually call the landline at 06272-240959 because I am almost always sitting near the phone. I spend most of my day looking at ledgers and making sure the supplies for the office and the field are all accounted for. It is an old building and it has a lot of character but it also has a lot of corners where things can get lost if you aren't careful. I don't let anyone take anything without signing the book first. That is the only way to keep things straight in a place like this. Being in Bihar you get used to the rhythm of the town and the way people stop by just to chat while they are picking up their items. I try to be helpful but I have to be strict about the inventory. My desk is covered in stamps and pens that I use for the paperwork. Sometimes the power goes out and I have to work by the window light but I don't mind it much. I have been the store officer for a long time and I know the history of most of the equipment we have stored here. It's a steady job and I like being near the post office and the busy streets.
