Sthapatya

We have been operating out of our office at A-58 on Shanti Path in Tilak Nagar for a good number of years now. Sthapatya isn't a huge firm with dozens of employees, but just a handful of us who show up every morning to get things done. The office feels a bit cramped sometimes because we have so many old blueprints and rolls of tracing paper leaning against the walls. It’s a practical space, even if it is not very modern. We spend most of our time hunched over desks or talking on the phone with contractors. Tilak Nagar is a nice area, and we like being on Shanti Path because it feels connected to the rest of the city without being too chaotic. Sometimes the cooling doesn't work right in the summer heat, so we just open the windows and deal with the dust. We don't really have a polished way of doing things around here. If you come by, you’ll probably find us mid-conversation about a project or drinking tea. Using a pencil and ruler still works better for thinking than some fancy software does. It is just a regular local business where we try to be as helpful as we can to the folks who walk through our door. Having seen the neighborhood change a lot, our little corner at A-58 stays pretty much the same day after day. It keeps us grounded in the work we do for people.
