Star Handicraft

Star Handicraft is at No. 160 in Adarsh Nagar. We are located in the area known as Dhana Das Ki Bagichi, which sits right behind the Central Jail. It’s an interesting part of the city to be in. You can see the high walls of the jail nearby, and the area has its own unique character. The bagichi area used to be more of a garden, and there are still some green patches around, though it’s mostly buildings now. Our workshop is a straightforward space. It’s not designed to impress visitors with fancy furniture or modern art. It’s a place where things are made by hand. You’ll find benches covered in tools and scraps of material everywhere. The windows are usually left open to let in some air, even if it brings in the noise of the street. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy lobby. If you come by, you’ll probably find us right in the middle of a task. The lighting is okay, but we rely on a few strong bulbs over the work areas. It’s a bit of a walk from the main transport hubs, but the rickshaws know the way to the jail area well enough. We’ve been in this spot for some time now and it suits us. It’s not a polished corporate environment, just a real place for real handicrafts. We just do the work and try to keep things organized.
