Sonika Stones

Sonika Stones is located at 3/554 in Malviya Nagar. It’s a fairly easy place to find if you know the neighborhood. We’ve been here for quite some time now. The space is mostly filled with the materials we work with, so there isn't a lot of room for a fancy lounge or anything like that. It’s a bit dusty sometimes, but that’s just part of the job when you’re dealing with stones. We started this as a small family-run type of thing and it hasn't changed all that much. We have a few guys who help out with the heavy lifting and the cutting. It’s hard work and the days can be long, especially in the heat. We don't have a bunch of suits running around; it’s mostly just us in our work clothes. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but our little corner has stayed pretty much the same. We like the local vibe of Malviya Nagar. People often stop by just to see what we’re working on. We don't have a big mission statement or a fancy website. We just focus on the stones and making sure the cuts are right. It’s a simple business. If you’re at 3/554, you’re at the right spot.
