Our office is at 104 M I Road, inside Anukampa Mansion. This is one of those old buildings that everyone in Jaipur knows. Being on MI Road means we are right in the heart of the city’s commercial hub. The hallways of the mansion are a bit narrow and you can hear the sounds of the street even from the first floor. Inside our space, it is mostly desks, chairs, and stacks of files. We have been here for a good number of years. It is a professional environment but it is not stiff or overly formal. We know most of the other people working in the building. Our day usually involves a lot of phone calls and people dropping by to discuss their accounts or paperwork. We don't have any flashy signs or modern furniture. It is all very practical and functional. Sometimes the lift in the building is a bit slow, so we just take the stairs. The view from the window is just the tops of the buses and cars moving along the main road. We keep a regular routine, starting in the morning and finishing up when the shops on the street start lighting up their signs. It is a steady way to work. We just focus on the tasks at hand and try to keep everything organized in our files. It is just another local office doing its daily business on a famous road.
