We are located on the 3rd floor of Rana House, which is at No. 983 along Gopal Ji Ka Rasta in Johari Bazar. Being in Johari Bazar means we are surrounded by jewelry shops, but we are a bit tucked away since we are up on the third floor. You have to walk through the crowded lanes and then head up the stairs to find us. It’s a lot quieter up here than it is down on the street level. We spend our days working on different pieces, mostly traditional styles that people in this area like. The room is small and we have a few workbenches pushed against the walls. We have some bright lamps to help us see the fine details. It’s a bit of a climb for some people, but we’ve been here for years and our regulars don't mind the stairs. We don't have a big marketing budget or a shiny website. We just rely on the work we do. Johari Bazar is a historic place and you can feel that history in the old buildings like Rana House. We keep our tools clean and our heads down. It’s a lot of sitting and focusing. Sometimes we share a meal in the small back area. It’s just a normal workplace with people trying to do their daily tasks with the materials we have. It gets dusty, so we wipe the counters every morning.
